Hilary Schnitz

Hilary is a 600 hour yoga alliance certified teacher living in Windsor Terrace with her partner and 7 month old baby girl.  Hilary came to yoga 12 years ago at a difficult time in her life, and has never looked back. Yoga has nourished her life in every way possible. She received her first certification in 2014 at Good Yoga in Brooklyn. From there, she started teaching private clients. Working one on one with people came to be a rewarding and gratifying experience which made her want to become a better teacher. In the spring of 2018, she studied with Jaya Yoga in Brooklyn, where she obtained another 300 hour yoga alliance certification. In 2019, she completed another 100 hours of training under Kiki Flynn.

In addition to yoga, Hilary is a Wise Woman Herbalist and Dona certified Doula. The combination of Covid and having her first baby gave Hilary a chance to slow down and focus on her family. She now teaches a few local yoga classes, a handful of yoga clients, and leads both yoga and herbal workshops while balancing new mom life.  Yoga is at the heart of her evolution but herbalism and her doula training have informed and guided her as a teacher and healer. Becoming a mother has been a powerful journey for her and has brought in a-lot of grace and compassion to her own practice, as well as her teaching style. She loves using her connection to motherhood, and to mother earth in the yoga room. She strives to bring this grounded connection to her students with intelligence and wisdom.
