August 2008

Focus of the Month for August
Freestyle Vinyasa
This is a month for you to take all the information you have accumulated over the past many months and run with it. Look forward to smart, elongated sequences with a destination: a pose, a point of concentration, a pranayama technique. Please feel free to make requests of your teachers, even via advance email. Your request will be passed on to the teacher of the class you are planning to attend.

The week of meditation we did in July was so great that we are doing it again. Please join us for this week dedicated to the daily practice of meditation. Instructions will be given at the beginning of the week, including directions for seated (on the floor or chair) and prone (lying down on the floor) meditation positions.
The starting time each day varies so please make note. This is a great way to start a meditation practice.
Monday  August 11 from 8 – 8:45 am Basic Instructions will be given, including focus and posture.
Tuesday August 12 from 8:30 – 9:15 am Brief reminder of basic instructions.
Wednesday August 13 from 8:15 – 9:15 am Lessons from Retreat: Guided meditation, followed by a short chat about meditation.
