Since my first dance class at age 3 I have not stopped moving. Ballet, jazz, folk, modern, cross training and for the past 12 years – yoga. This movement stems from an undulating pulse inside that demands expression! While this pulse can sometimes be chaotic, through yoga, I have found tools to organize its creativity. With knowledge learned from my teachers and my own practice, I have found a spacious container to gently hold the grandness of this vibration. The classes I teach are grounded in the fundamentals of Hatha yoga. Starting from a place of thoughtful alignment, I offer juicy vinyasa and intelligent sequencing. I use anatomical cues, philosophical intention and directed breathing to lead students to the boundaries of their very own container.
I received my 200-hour yoga teacher certification with Carla, Ramit and the rest of the sangha at Jaya Yoga Center and a restorative teacher certification with OM Yoga. I am also a member of the Jaya Reiki collective and am a firm believer in the MELT method of hands-off body work. I feel so blessed to have found Jaya, my yoga home, and am forever grateful to my teachers, friends and family for continuing to influence my practice and teaching.
